The past Saturday was H's birthday and I spent the entire weekend with him. I bussed to his place (a 40-minute commute) holding my bag full of overnight stuff, my purse, his present, and a cake. I looked ridiculous walking all the way from my house to the bus stop. I got tons of stares :P
Once I got there I gave him his present and we sat outside while he opened it. He absolutely loved all the things that I got him (hopefully. He said he did.) Then we set off to Dave and Buster's. Both of us never went before so I thought it would be a good idea to go on that day when we had all the time in the world. It was rather fun and we killed a couple hours there eating lunch and playing games.
It was time to go to our hotel which I booked for the night at Hilton. The room was rather nice! We relaxed a bit there and then started to get ready for dinner at Auberge du Pommier. We ended up getting lost a bit (sigh, like we always do), but we arrived there safe and sound and had a beautiful dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and definitely worth the two bills it cost me. We only go to high end restaurants during our birthdays.
Overall it was an amazing day. H was super happy that we got to spend all day together. It was rather cute to see him smile and thank me over and over about how the day was perfect.
The next day we went out to eat for dimsum! He's korean so he doesn't get to eat it a lot. I go out for dimsum all the time (I'm chinese, what do you expect?) so we decided to go for lunch. We went to watch Friends with Benefits in the afternoon which turned out to be hilarious. I thought it would be too similar to No Strings Attached, but I thought it was well done. We spent the rest of the day just in front of my house talking to each other and napping in the car because we were so exhausted.
Overall, an absolutely perfect weekend. Haven't had one of those since we went to visit his Ottawa home together alone. <3

Creme brulee at Auberge du Pommier~ It was delicious. :)
